The mission of this organization is to provide educational and professional support to braille transcribers in order to provide quality braille services to agencies, organizations, schools, companies, individuals, etc. Through this support braille transcribers will be able to effectively provide their services. We want to accomplish the following goals:
We welcome your inquiries about our organization and its goals. Your financial support and sponsorship is needed to meet our goals. Inform anyone who may be interested in braille transcription or who would benefit from braille transcribing services. It is the hope of the organization to connect braille services to braille needs in the community by any means possible. WE WANT YOUR MENU!!!!!!
In an effort to promote San Antonio as an access friendly city, Braille Transcribers of Texas is partnering with various organizations to help get local area restaurant menus transcribed into Braille and large print at a very low cost. If you are a restaurant manager and wish to sign up for a menu, please send an email to Vivian Seki at vootsa@sbcglobal.net or vivian.seki@esc20.net. We will require a full color hard copy menu to transcribe. A PDF of a menu will be best. If you know of a restaurant that should get this information, please forward this information to the restaurant manager. We are beginning our project with the Riverwalk restaurants.

DONATE TO HELP OUR MENU PROJECT
Our 501c3 organization is seeking funding to help defray the cost of the materials and labor to get these menus started and completed in 2008. We are beginning with Riverwalk and downtown restaurants, but any restaurant can participate. We also encourage hotels and other businesses to get their brochures and other print information transcribed.
